VirusV runs on an item-driven economy. Tokens are the medium of exchange, but survival supplies are the real currency.
Tokens are used for trading with NPCs. They are found in loot, earned through tasks or traded between players. However, tokens alone will not save you — water, ammunition and medicine cannot always be bought.
Traders are located in or near safe zones. Each trader carries limited stock that refreshes over time. This prevents infinite supply and makes each purchase decision meaningful. If a trader is out of antibiotics, the next restock might be too late.
Players can exchange items directly. Trades are validated server-side with distance checks to prevent abuse. Prices are not set by the server — players decide what their loot is worth.
PvP loot is the most direct wealth transfer in VirusV. Killing a geared player yields their death bag contents — if you can survive long enough to secure it. This creates a natural risk economy around high-value routes.
